The Bergen Art Museum is actually a series of collections, including the City Art Collection, the Stenersens Collection, and the Rasmus Meyers Samlinger Collection.

The City Collection features a diverse collection of works from the 19th and 20th centuries.

The Stenersens has works from many well-known international artists, including Bauhaus works by Paul Klee, as well as pieces by Picasso, Munch and Kandinsky.

The Meyers Smalinger, housed in what looks like a pagoda, focuses on Norwegian works and has a particularly notable Munch collection.
